Symplectoscyphus pygmaeus
General description:
Stems to 7 mm long, simple, or with one branch. A delicate 3-flapped operculum visible in most hydrothecae. A line of small dots present in the thecal wall, sometimes obscured by the hydranths.
Colour: Bright yellow.
Distribution:
Southern Pacific- New Zealand and southern Australia (New South Wales, Tasmania, Victoria).
Habitat:
Subtidal, epiphytic/epizoic on algae, bryozoans, ascidians and other benthic organisms.
