Plumularia setaceoides
General description:
Sparse fertile stems to 2 cm long.
Gonothecae top-shaped, 1 or 2 arising on a very short pedicel from proximal part of stem, distal end directed downwards towards substrate. Perisarc delicate, very faintly undulated, no operculum.
Distribution:
Southern Australian (South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, Western Australia) and New Zealand waters
Habitat:
Subtidal, epiphytic on algae and epizoic on benthic invertebrates such as sponges.
